Tristes nouvelles de Haïti
"Dear Friends,
Just had another mini-storm with wild wind and rushing rain. Many homes have been lost; tons and tons of agricultural products have been flooded; over 60 Haitians have died in these past few days. The flooding has wiped out the roads to Port Au Prince, where we purchase our food supplies. There is food available for purchase in our city, but the supply is limited – and as such, the local prices have skyrocketed. Our own crops have been washed away. We are in the midst of a serious crisis. I do not have enough money to adequately feed all 656 children at Hope Village. Please help us. Your donation will be immediately dispatched to Haiti so that we can get the food supplies we so desperately need.
Thank you and God bless,"
Fr. Marc
"Les livres sont arrives. The boxes of books were delivered this afternoon at Castel-Pere. The young woman who will be putting the library together was ecstatic and was dancing in the yard to the amazement of the children. We are very, very grateful and so sorry that it took so long. Will send photos soon.
God bless you and all our friends of Taquiswa." -
